Ausdrain Flatbed Leach Drain

AUSDRAIN Flatbed Leach Drains, otherwise known as absorption trenches or infiltration trenches, are practical, cost-effective and easy to install.

They offer a highly efficient and eco-friendly solution for effective stormwater management and wastewater dispersal. These innovative drainage systems utilise the 50mm Hexcell Drainage Cell, a durable and lightweight component designed to facilitate rapid water infiltration and provide a stable platform for various applications. The Flatbed Leach Drains not only prevent surface water buildup but also promote natural biological treatment processes, making them ideal for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

The AUSDRAIN flatbed leach drain system has been approved by the Department of Health in Western Australia. Accordingly, in WA the Ausdrain Hexcell 50 can be installed as a flatbed leach drain in a configuration of 3.3 metres wide (plus a 100mm wide PVC distribution pipe running through the middle) and can be installed one or two drainage cells high (depending on the soil density and structure onsite).

Sandy soils absorb faster, while clay soils are slower, affecting the size and design of the leach drain. The Hexcell 50 leach drain system has an infiltrative area of 3.3m2 per metre of length. It is provided in 1.21m2 (1.1m x 1.1m) sheets and each sheet fixes together making installation easy.
