The new multi-level City of Perth Library has been built next to the Perth Town Hall, fronting Hay Street, via the new Cathedral Square precinct. It is the first major civic building to be constructed in Perth since the Perth Concert Hall was built nearly 40 years ago.
It covers 3,500 m2 and showcases a range of features over seven levels including History Centre, collections, reading rooms, AV multi-function rooms, a master staircase, green wall, and story-telling zones, plus virtual and digital resources.
Extensive runs of custom Stormtech stainless steel channel and grates were supplied to the new Perth Library by Civil and General Distributors. In addition, our Buzon pedestals were an important addition to enabling the floor levels to be completely even whilst allowing ready access to services beneath the floors.
