The New Midland Station Project reached a major milestone with the opening of the new multistorey Midland train station car park on Monday, 20 January 2025.
Civil and General Distributors collaborated with Triple T Plumbing to support this significant improvement to the Midland Station Project with the supply of:
- state-of-the-art Tap Boxes, both in-wall and bollard versions;
- MEA polymer concrete and GRP shallow channels, both 200mm wide and 100mm wide, all with Class D ductile iron grates; and
- SPS durable and efficient point drains.
The State Government Media release states the Midland train station car park features five levels including an open-air top deck, 778 parking bays including 20 ACROD bays, 13 motorcycle bays, Pay by Plate and SmartParker machines, lifts, lighting, CCTV, duress alarms and the provision for future electric car charging stations.
The multistorey car park is designed to reflect both the geographical landmarks and the colours of local Aboriginal language groups. The brightly coloured exterior represents the area between the Western Australian coast and the nearby Darling Ranges.
