Halgan’s range of Cooling Pits have just been approved by Water Corporation in WA.
The Halgan Cooling Pit is used to cool the liquid waste water and provide a discharge to the sewer of not more than 38o C. The inlet and outlet design provide mixing of the waste water.
The Halgan Cooling Pit is manufactured from strong lightweight polyethylene.
They are available in seven sizes with capacities of 550, 1000, 1500, 2000, 3000, 4000, and 5000litres. The correct sizing required for the Halgan Cooling Pit is calculated by adding total number of dischargers to the Halgan Cooling Pit and the instantaneous flow rate.

All proposed installations of any cooling pit is first subject to a formal Water Corporation Trade Waste plumbing assessment (and approval) of the overall waste stream processes to determine if the selected unit and additional forms of additional cooling are the most appropriate form of pre-treatment.
