The brand new Eglinton Beach Primary School opened in February 2025. This $41m development is the first school opening in this new suburb. It offers an inclusive education for over 600 students from kindergarten to year 6.
When it is fully completed (sometime during 2025) it will have state-of-the-art facilities with a purpose-built Early Childhood area, two double story teaching blocks, a dedicated Education Support facility, library and undercover areas. It will have specialist rooms for music, performing arts, visual arts and STEM.
Cooper & Jones Plumbing enjoyed the versality provided by MEA and installed the following MEA products supplied by Civil and General Distributors:
- 224 metres of 100mm wide, 150mm deep polymer concrete channels and Class D ductile iron grates.
- 37 metres of 300mm wide and deep polymer concrete channels and Class D ductile iron anti-shunt grates.
- 6 metres of 200mm wide and deep polymer concrete channels and Class D ductile iron grates.
- 137 x P30 sump pits measuring 300x300x450mm plus Heavy duty grates and heel guard lockdown grates.
- P60 sump pits measuring 600x600x600mm plus galvanised steel grates.
With security and safety in mind Civil and General also supplied 45 custom-made recessed Tap Boxes for installation throughout the school.
